Buzzscraper · Last updated: 16 August 2026

There is no account and no sign-in. Your scores stay on your phone. No adverts, no trackers, no advertising identifier, and nothing about you is ever sold or shared.

The short version

Your scores

Each of the three games keeps its own personal best, and the app keeps a short history so it can show you how your scores are spread. All of it is stored on your device using Apple's standard app-preferences storage. It is never uploaded, it is not readable by me, and deleting the app deletes it permanently. There is no backup and no way to move it to another phone.

Usage data

The app records a small number of anonymous events through Google Analytics for Firebase, so I can tell whether people are enjoying it and which game to improve:

Firebase also collects standard app information alongside those events: app version, device model, operating system version, approximate country, and a random app-instance identifier.

This is not linked to your identity, because the app never learns it. The app-instance identifier is not your advertising ID: Buzzscraper does not include Apple's AdSupport framework at all, so there is no IDFA and no tracking prompt, because there is nothing to track. Deleting and reinstalling the app resets that identifier.

Who else can see it

Google, as the operator of Firebase, processes those anonymous events on my behalf. Nobody else receives anything. I do not sell, rent or trade any of it, and there are no advertisers, data brokers or other analytics companies involved.

Children

Buzzscraper is rated 4+ and is safe for children. There is nothing to buy, no adverts, no chat, no user-generated content, and no way to reach the web from inside the app. Because the app never asks anyone for personal information, it collects none from children either.

Deleting your data

Under UK/EU data protection law you can also ask what is held about you, correct it, or object to it being processed. Ask and I will sort it out.

Changes

If a future version collects something new, such as an account or an online leaderboard, or anything else that leaves the phone beyond the events above, this policy will be updated before that version ships, and the App Store privacy labels updated with it.
