Terms of Use -- Fia Says
Last updated: 17 October 2026
By using Fia Says you agree to these terms.
- The app. Fia Says is a free Irish-language learning game made by David Carr. It's provided "as is". I work hard to keep the Irish accurate, but I can't guarantee every word, spelling or translation is correct for every dialect.
- Your account. Accounts are for people aged 13 or over. You can play the whole game as a guest at any age, without an account. You're responsible for your account. Usernames must not be offensive, impersonate someone else, or include personal information. I may change or remove names that break this rule.
- Fair play. Don't cheat, tamper with the app or the leaderboard, or try to access other players' data. I may remove scores or accounts that do.
- Content. The app, its design and its word lists belong to David Carr. Word pictures are Microsoft Fluent Emoji, used under the MIT licence.
- Changes. I may update the app or these terms. If the terms change, the new version will be posted here.
- Liability. To the extent the law allows, I'm not liable for any loss arising from use of the app.
- Law. These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland.
